Wild Horses

Wild Horses

Way up near the mountain range
where footsteps of man are few.
In a place where only wild things dwell
there came a life most new.
On legs too long with will to live
this tiny thing did stand.
And eyes that mirrored nature's wonder
saw unsure steps upon God's land.
Then moment followed moment.
The skills of life began to grow.
Twas then a world of new adventure
opened up for a new foal.
For there up near the mountain range
true freedom gripped in firm embrace.
And though the features did not change
a smile came on the face.
