Jesus Will
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

              Jesus Will

Open hands reaching, searching,
yet finding nothing there.
Eyes appearing older
than the color of the hair.
Wrinkles formed, not by time,
but by emotions known.
Life perceived as endless trial
behind walls of jagged stone.
But not from now until forever.
Time itself has a past.
For even the longest walls around
will have an end at last.
And then the reaching, searching hands,
will be held in grip so strong.
That the walls will crumble all around,
and with a smile, Jesus will lead on.

About the Poet
59 and holding. Married to the love of my life for 35 years. We are a Christian family with 3 grown kids and a hard headed chihuahua named Peppy. I enjoy writing poetry and hope it brings a smile or maybe even uplifts a little.
