 Three Days Of Easter
  By Ricky L Gibbs

Not a crown made of gold,
but thorns upon His head.
Not to a throne of velvet,
but to The Cross He was lead.
The crowd shouted out no honor,
insults and curses were thrown.
Not one held His hand to comfort.
He faced it all alone.
And there, lifted up in shame,
nailed to The Cross of wood.
Our Savior suffered, bled, and died,
and not one understood.
Some thought that it was over.
Their sin once more could hide.
Some prayed the words He spoke were true.
Yet doubted when He died.
They laid His body in the tomb,
and rolled a stone in place.
The devil turned and walked away,
a smile upon his face.
But where death before knew victory
a light from glory fell.
And the fierceness seen on Jesus' face
sent fear throughout the depths of hell.
