Forgiven
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

            Forgiven

Bent beneath a load so great,

too worn to even cry.

Weighted by the past,

dare not look for clear blue sky.

Just moving through the shadows,

hiding from the light.

Living, breathing, waking, sleeping,

all in endless night.

Then crying out to Jesus,

power beyond the lightning's flash.

Yet touch like gentle breeze

or brush of crimson sash.

Tears? Can this be?

Emotions long dead flow.

Love? Even for me?

And never to let go.

The load becomes weightless.

The eyes see above.

Forgiven fills the consciousness.

The soul's response, endless love.
