In the Midst

In the Midst

Standing in the midst of storm

with feet firmly placed.

Upon the rock that does not move

surrounded by God's grace.

Though pelted by the rain

and bruised by the fierce hail.

From the rock there is no movement

as the elements assail.

When forced down by the onslaught

of the wind to bended knee.

With head held low in prayer

come the words,"I still believe."

It's then the mighty hand of God

envelopes like a shield.

And thus the storm is swept away

by his unmoving will.

Though darkness may surround

and storms in life are known.

Upon The Rock of Jesus stand

for he protects his own.
