Herodís Puzzlement

Herod was puzzled

He was so confused

Who is this man

The Baptist John

Was beheaded

How could it be he then

Who is this man

A chariot of fire

Carried off the sage Elijah

Who is this man

The sick he is healing

And sinners forgiving

Who is this man

Given†the authority

His disciples repeat

His acts of mercy

Who is this man

But from Peterísanswer

We do garner

The Messiah sent from God
