Waking Up

Waking up to a new day - My cares;
this voluminous wind, will it blow away?

All those never before things
Still fresh in my memory swings

A new Christmas toy
Oh bounteous joy!

The smell of new exercise books;
back then folks called them copy books

A new baby sister
Such a curious little wonder

Excitement of that new pair of shoes
I took my shopping time to choose

Our new home - Here our
love to nurture, exclusive to some

Rummaging through--
my old trunk of treasures new

Tis years end - To me
What new treasures, will God send?
