"Lift up Your hands. O you  gates, and the King of Glory
shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong
and mighty. The Lord mighty in battle." Psalm 24:7-8
Your Glory,
When it breaks through my soul's night,
Is like the soverign sun's dawning.
And under this Light, engrave Your Glory
On my soul's tablet.
That Glory which shone through
The birth of the Lamb, Jesus,
Sent into the world of wolves and lions
To heal the torn of soul.
That  Glory which charges through
The world to unchain souls
From their chilled chains.
That Glory which sings songs
For the year-heavy, the weeping,
And thin of voice.
That Glory which dethroned death --
Your Son's Rising.
"Father of Glory," [Eph 1:17]
Your Power and Glory
Flourishes through all Creation, Spawns life,
Now seed in my soul Your Power and Glory,
So that I will walk with Jeus, hand in Hand.

About the Poet
I am 79 years of age. For the past nine years I have been retired, after forty years, from the field of alcoholism and drug abuse in New York City. I am married and we have two grown sons and two grand-sons. My life changed through a grace-experience in 1967. Writing Christian prayers is a particular interest of mine. This came about by a growing awareness of the spiritual in recovery from addictions. I choose, intellectually and emotionally, to believe the Triune God of the Sared Scriptures as my Healer.
