An Impatiens

An Impatiens

God gave me an impatiens before Christmas day.

It blossomed so quietly in its unassuming way.

It meant more to me than two gifts or a tree,

Because it is winter and its beauty blessed me.

*I brought in some impatiens from the summer and they do very well in one particular window. Praise God for a little spring in winter.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
