A Lump of Clay

A Lump of Clay

Are we not all as lumps of clay?

Kept moist by the Word of God.

A daily renewal of truth each day,

Keeps us supple and useful to God.

Molded with pressure by loving hands,

Stretched beyond what we have known,

With forethought and wisdom He brings forth His plans,

Through mere clay His glory is shone.

A lump of clay I'm glad to be,

For His own hands are molding me.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
