Autumn

Autumn

The loveliness of the autumn sun

Preceeding starlit nights

Causes my soul to bow in prayer

Beneath the heavenly lights.

The cooler breeze and colored leaves

Caress the waiting earth.

For slumber it must, yet in hopeful trust

That death gives way to birth.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
