The Moon

The Moon

Oh, the moon, so still and fair,

Rises, lifeless in the air.

But look, it shines so bright and bold,

Against the chill of winter's cold.

It claims no inner light to own,

Yet reflects a far off source unknown.

The sun, not seen, but shining still,

Grins while it slumbers beyond the hill.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
