Awake!

Let us take our cue from the earth,

It is a time of rejoicing, not one of dearth.

The flowers are awakening from their deep sleep,

The birds are singing their cheep, cheep, cheeps.

The grass is greener, the suns shines strong,

Awake from winter's sleep, enjoy the spring's morn.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
