Rest

Rest

Come unto Me and sit awhile,

Rest your weary head, My child.

I do know the temptations you face each day,

Before the throne, I ever kneel and pray.

You want Me to come and end this strife,

I understand the strains of life.

But I am drawing many to the fold,

Although outside are evils untold.

Be patient as many are coming this hour,

Many are experiencing the Spirit's power,

The time will come as I have said,

But as for now, come, rest your head.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
