Jesus Is My Helper

Life is restless when Jesus is far;

Jesus is my helper in times of distress,

O How life is vain without His presence!

The message of the cross rings in my heart,

His grace draws me to leave the path of sin.

I have a sweet communion with Jesus daily,

There is guidance when my soul grows weary;

In the darkness His gentle voices soothes.

Jesus is the sweetest melody that restores my soul,

I need Him for He is my faithful friend,

His tender mercy is my shelter amid the storms.

When things go wrong, I come to Jesus;

His love never fails, His grace touches me.

His perfect peace stays in my heart, what a blessing!

Through prayer, I can share my burdens with Jesus,

Though I am weak, His care never ends;

In His everlasting arms my soul finds solace.
