Jesus, the Antidote for My Wounded

Jesus, the Antidote for My Wounded Heart

Jesus, the antidote for my wounded heart.

I came to Jesus and He set me free,

Before His cross I bring my heart, love abounds.

His Spirit works, His blood purifies me within,

Each day I tell to Jesus all of my struggles;

He listens, His love shines in the Death Valley.

Have my nightmares ended, Jesus saves me today!

Through His mercy, I smile at the moments that fly,

Secure always be my soul in His gentle hands.

With the Father above has Jesus reconciled me,

In the past I went astray, yet Jesus died for my sins;

His pardon is for a heart that seeks Him fervently.

Everytime Heís beside me, my prayer thrills His heart,

When Iím helpless, His mighty arms protect me;

Jesus helps me to withstand, by His grace I gain life.

The True Light abides, all my sadness turns to floods of joy;

My hope lays on Jesus, victory day by day oíer the darkness.
