Ode to Our Lord God

Jehovah God,I count You worthy,
worthy of infinite praise.

God Almighty, you are powerful,
your victorious banner we raise.
King of Kings, worthy of our nation’s acclaim.
Jehovah-nissi, you’ve supplied her
with your vast, uncountable grace.

Jehovah God, I count You worthy

The Great I AM, you are merciful,
righteous, holy, good, and kind.
Elohim Chaseddi, you came
a Great Physician, Guider
of spirit, body, soul and mind.

You are worthy of infinite praise.

Jehovah Shalom, you are faithful,
our trusted Prince of Peace
El Shaddai, high above every name,
Jehovah Jireh, Provider,
your blessings never cease.

Jehovah God, I count You worthy,
worthy of infinite praise.

About the Poet
Growing older with some pains and discomfort, graying hair, glasses, partial plate and hearing aids but with complete assurance of my eternal domain. Saved by choice by Gods free grace by Jesus life, death and resurrection. Born and bred in the Bluegrass State for 24 years, I crossed the Ohio River and became a Hoosier forever thereafter until that time God calls me to my heavenly home. Christian for fifty-five plus years. Church musician and SS teacher for most all of my Wednesdays and Sundays. Public school teacher for thirty-six school terms; retired with a class now of three grandchildren off and on during the week. Wife for half my life to the same superman. Mama to two unique sons. Mother-in-law to a fine daughter; Nana to one darling girl and two handsome guys. God has blessed me abundantly; thank you, Father. God quiets my hackles; God quickens my heart; God quells my hunger. Blessed be His holy name.
