Hope Comes From Heaven

Hope Comes From Heaven

Hope comes from Heaven with healing balm for hurts
When our hearts are focused on God's love
His Word has left us signposts along others faithffilled walks
We find our hope is dependent from above
God has the answers for questions we might have
His Word is a light unto our path
We are held accountable not for what we do not know
But held accountable for what things that we knoweth

His Word is to judge us on that Judgment day
Wise is the man who gives to it heed
The very Word of God for He's the Word Himself
A profitable experience is the reading of it indeed
God has two labels that differentiate men from men
One label is sinner the other label saint
When one is born again He's reckoned as the latter
When one is not he's labeled that he ain't

Salvation is a key word in scripture reference found
Exactly what does the reference to it mean
When Christ died and rose again as our Resurrection
Eternal life is offered when the proof of Him was seen
Now our hope is realized Hallelujah Christ is risen
The Lord liveth! Hallelujah...Hallelujah... amen!
The Healing balm of Gilead Himself our sure relief
What a blessing indeed to be born again!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
