Let God Birth

Let God Birth

Let God birth a new song in your heart today
Let the music rise up from within
Your thanksgiving chorus... upon your repentance
A testimony that you've been born again
We can never hold back praises to the One we love
The Holy Spirit makes the song begin
Still the light of the world is our Saviour Jesus Christ
Who gives life and conquered over sin

O Hallelujah... starts the chorus...
Hallelujah to the Lamb for sinner's slain
All of creation gives Him glory
For the name that is above every other name
And forgiveness...hear the echo!
I'm forgiven...I'm forgiven, praise the Lord!
My Salvation... etched forever
On this heart of mine that trusted in the Lord

He's birthed a new song O Hallelujah
He took my sins and nailed them to the Cross
O glory praise Him...O Hallelujah
For the enormous debt I owed
He paid the cost
I can't escape it nor do I want to
The thought that now permeates my soul
I've been delivered from death's darkness
For when absent from the body I'll be made whole

So Hallelujah... I shall praise Him
For there's a new song still in my heart today
With such a Saviour who loves me dearly
I wouldn't have it any other way!
He makes the music that starts the joybells
Nothing like a sinner being saved
And O the glory with His proof of triumph
We'll keep singing on the other side of the grave!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
