"Justa thinking"... We lost a wonderful man of God this morning as the news came that the Reverend Billy Graham has been called home... What a life... What a testimony! His faithfulness in the proclamation of the gospel is unparalleled... I always enjoyed his preaching and have received many blessings as a result thereof.. Thousands and thousands gave their lives in response to his glorious gospel messages of Salvation By grace through faith and I am sure he will have a wonderful time in heaven as He not only sees the Lord face to face but as well that massive throng of people who have had their eternal destination secured because of his faithfulness to the preaching of the gospel... Hallelujah for that! Praise God... Hallelujah! Thank you mister Graham for your passion and dedication in the work of the Lord...

Thank You Billy Graham

Thank you Billy Graham
For the fight that you have fought
You left us with a testimony
As a servant of the Lord aught
You held that gospel standard
As precious to your heart
And from the precepts of the Word
Sir... You did not depart

You weren't afraid to preach on hell
To warn men in that fashion
And for their souls we definitely knew
You had a real passion
And God's blessing evidence
Right up to your grave
How thousands and thousands came to know
Only Jesus saves

And still a heritage of your life
Continues in that fashion
Leaving us with your son and daughter
Who both for soul's have passion
Thank you sir for faithful service
Your work on earth is done
I can hear the Father's welcome to you
Billy... Well done my son!

About the Poet
I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour in January of 1972. I was married on Oct 21,1966 to my wife Linda who also loves the Lord. We have ten children and now twenty-four grand children. In Aug 2012 we got the announcement of the birth of our first GREAT grand child (a baby girl). I was thrilled to find others of like precious faith and belief in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! What a Savior! I am presently living in Champion, Alberta, Canada but we are originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. That is where the poem Canadian Tribute to America was birthed. One Sunday as I walked across the city on my way to church I came to the top of a hill and looked across at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After watching the events of the Sept 11 tragedy it was weighing on my heart and mind and the Lord gave me these words. We came to Calgary and when my oldest daughter saw this poem she said, Dad, whats this? and I said a poem and she replied Dad, thats not a poem , thats a song and she then went to the piano and began to sing and play it. The result of which turned into a song entitled, A Canadian Tribute to America which she recorded on CD. garyjamessmith2005@yahoo.ca
