Lonesome Trail
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Cradle me with tenderness
Stroke a weary soul with love
Truly the best company, comes from up above
When the lonesome trail appears
God's powerful prayer draws Him near
Erupting joy fills every need
Gentle is His lead
Down a lonesome trail
Guilt's eating worm does fail
Christ's love for you is real
Cradles so close enough to feel
Truly the best company, overtakes a weary soul
Lonesome has a friend
That comes from up above
Powerful is God's awesome love
