In His Shoes
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Desiring to walk in Jesus' shoes
Shoes far too big to fill
Walking with compassionate feet
Willing to help my fellow man
Desiring hands more than ready to give
Yearning in my innermost self
Feeding those that are hungry, in need
Sharing food and His bread of life
Jesus' shoes walk in compassion
Weeping for those lost in need
Yearning deep within the inside
Compassion moving willing hands
Filling out those great big shoes
With compassionate feet to stand
Sharing your food and His bread of life
With a willing heart, spirit, and mind
Compassionate moving gentle spirit
Walking like Jesus Christ
