A Taste of Heaven
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

Try as hard as you can
You just can't taste Heaven anymore
Too much pollution from sin
Spoils the Holy Spirit taste bud within
The taste buds have grown bitter
Lacking all of their Heavenly spice
Seasoned with the bitter taste of sin

If longing for a taste of Heaven
Invite Jesus to your table
God's Holy Spirit brings the seasoning
Spices up the soul within
A taste of Heaven slowly begins
To wash away all pollution from sin
Bitterness turns to sweetness within
Tasting Heaven once again
