The Winking Raven
By: Laurie Ragan Jenkins

The lovely lilies waved to me
While the old black raven winked
Such beautiful sights that meets the eyes
God's love will forever be
Overwhelming loving care brisk the raven flies
Waving lilies clothed so fine
Overwhelming loving care divine
Without a doubt the winking raven says
When God in Heaven loves you there's always bread
The lovely lilies spoke their pleas
Shine with the light of Jesus and never suffer need
The winking raven flew with strong faith indeed

Luke 12:24,27,28
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn;
and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Consider the lilies how the grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to-day in the field, and to-morrow is cast into the oven;
how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
King James Version
