Fingerprints

                 Fingerprints

Lurking deep, Caves of Lascaux,
Millenniums passing, shadowed gold,
A subterranean treasure sowed
By Paleolithic Michelangelos.

Another time, Rosetta Stone,
Puzzle pieces, hand unknown,
Baiting minds who long to grasp
Connections, clues, then code unclasp.

Dormant scrolls beside Dead Sea
Awaiting dawn in history,
Patient parchment, peeling, dry,
Kindling waiting future fire.

Fingerprints upon our soul,
Ever fresh, ever old,
Clues that hint of distant hands,
Deeper faith, higher plans.
