Imprismed

The light imprisoned
In this prism
Begs to be released
To breach the daily grind
And with transcendent colors
Shine
Reversing pulseless pallor's
Grip upon this world
Ending bloodless screams
That all around us whirl
Providing pigment needed
For dreams to be unfurled.
