Maine Vacation

Maine Vacation

A road through the forest,
Brilliant moon up above,
A little Maine cottage,
Where there is love.

A friend's hearty welcome
A leisurely pace,
A bunk bed awaiting,
A relaxing place.

Long miles behind me
With more miles to go
I find here a refuge
As if it were home.

Rest by the seaside
Jogging miles down the hill
Evenings by fireside
I'm remembering still.

Sometimes there's a rainbow
A fawn or a deer
Blessing a friendship
Growing richer each year.
