STOP AND OFFER PRAYER
three seguidillas for the National Day of Prayer, May 2, 2013

Very soon after terror threatens with its spell,
trust signals us to gather our faith rings a bell.
Sounding out our care as the dreaded darkness falls.
Stop and offer prayer.

During times of joy and peace and when hopes prevail,
morning, noon or late at night praise should never fail.
Thank the God who cares when His blessings intervene.
Stop and offer prayers.

If you're worried or afraid if you're caught in doubt
realize God sees your plight, open up and shout.
Victory declare let folks know you know He's real.
Stop and offer prayer.

About the Poet
Growing older with some pains and discomfort, graying hair, glasses, partial plate and hearing aids but with complete assurance of my eternal domain. Saved by choice by Gods free grace by Jesus life, death and resurrection. Born and bred in the Bluegrass State for 24 years, I crossed the Ohio River and became a Hoosier forever thereafter until that time God calls me to my heavenly home. Christian for fifty-five plus years. Church musician and SS teacher for most all of my Wednesdays and Sundays. Public school teacher for thirty-six school terms; retired with a class now of three grandchildren off and on during the week. Wife for half my life to the same superman. Mama to two unique sons. Mother-in-law to a fine daughter; Nana to one darling girl and two handsome guys. God has blessed me abundantly; thank you, Father. God quiets my hackles; God quickens my heart; God quells my hunger. Blessed be His holy name.
