 a garland of cinquains

Be blessed,

seek God's praise.

All you who fear the Lord

are blessed when you walk in His ways.

Shalom

Labor

in God's employ,

is done for those you love,
their well-being will be your joy

likewise.

Fruitful

will be your wife,

the heart of your household.

Your children, vital, full of life,

your hope

Your bliss

is God's delight.

The strength of your homeland

the guiding light at your work site

His truth

Children

of your children

will live to called you blessed.

You seek God's counsel for your kin,

sweet peace.

Be blessed

in God's employ -

the heart of your household

the guiding light at your work site

sweet peace.

a garland of cinquains is six linked cinquains, Five are written normally (they do not have to rhyme) in 2,4,6,8.2 syllable lines and the sixth is composed of the respective lines from each of the first five.

About the Poet
Growing older with some pains and discomfort, graying hair, glasses, partial plate and hearing aids but with complete assurance of my eternal domain. Saved by choice by Gods free grace by Jesus life, death and resurrection. Born and bred in the Bluegrass State for 24 years, I crossed the Ohio River and became a Hoosier forever thereafter until that time God calls me to my heavenly home. Christian for fifty-five plus years. Church musician and SS teacher for most all of my Wednesdays and Sundays. Public school teacher for thirty-six school terms; retired with a class now of three grandchildren off and on during the week. Wife for half my life to the same superman. Mama to two unique sons. Mother-in-law to a fine daughter; Nana to one darling girl and two handsome guys. God has blessed me abundantly; thank you, Father. God quiets my hackles; God quickens my heart; God quells my hunger. Blessed be His holy name.
