Time Spent with Children

Time Spent wih Children

"Whoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God
as a little child, he shall not enter therin."(Mark10-15)

I became a six-year-old again
when a child called me in to
play with him.

He took me by the hand
and led me around as
we laughed and talked.

The room was filled with
toys,Plastic cars, trucks,
dolls, books and a big
stack of blocks.

As we played, time seemed
to stand still for us. When
you are only six...there is no
need for clocks!

note: I have lived in a world of children,
for I was one of seven children, had
seven children and have eighteen grand-
children.
Over the years I cared for a very large
number of children babysitting and as
a day-care provider for nineteen years.

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
