Oh How Quiet Is the Morning
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by Evelyn Heinz

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When all else are asleep.

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When I listen very, very deep.

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When my God does fervently speak.

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When I want Him for my own.

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When I kneel and soulfully atone.

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When I solemnly pledge forever to love Him.

Oh how quiet is the morning,

When my faith's cup is filled to the brim.

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
