A Taste of Morning

            A Taste of Morning

Lord, I've come to take a

taste of morning.

Starting with a sip of sunrise,

and a touch of dew.

A cup of birdsong

and a dish of flowers

of every hue.

Each morning, I wake at dawn

and start with a plate of prayer

for everyone I know.

And I don't forget to take

a great big helping of You,

where ever I go.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live in Him." (Colossians 2:6)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
