Where Is God

Where Is God

I found God in  my mother's smile.
I found God in a robin's song.
I found God right in my backyard.
You can too, won't you come along?
We can see Him in the sunset,
After the rain, behind every star.
If you are quiet, you can hear Him.
Talking to you in silent prayer.
He answers your every need,
If in trouble, He is right there.

Where is God?
He walks ahead of me,
He follows behind me,
He is my guide and...
He is my friend.

"The Lord Himself goes before you ane will be
with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you;
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
    (Deuteronomy 31:8)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
