           It's Only Me

As You can see, it's only me.
Lord, I just want to talk to You.

I've traveled a long way,
You know that and all that I do.

Life hasn't always beenn easy,
Like some say, sometimes it was breezy.

Still, all I know is this...
My children's hug or kiss

Made my life very sweet
Along with the people I did meet.

Friends, neighbors and family are nice.
They sure added lots of 'sugar and spice'.

But now...it's only me Lord!
Just wanted to talk to You.

I sure have come a long way,
Thank you for the time alone with only YOU!

"For through Me your days will be many
and years will be added to your life"(Proverbs 9:11)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
