In Sunshine and Rain

On the highway, often fast
To each destination came at last
Through sundshine and rain
Nearly blown away with wind in Wisconsin
Very frosty on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

Jeff and Barb took me across the bridge
Detroit on one side Canada the other

Visits were warm and not at all windy
Getting reacquainted was a real delight
Still on the go, a few visits yet to make
A family reunion on this coming Saturday

Jeff and Barb took me across the bridge
Detroit on one side Canada the other

Soon I expect to be back in Maryland
That is really home sweet home
While traveling is loads of fun
There is cliched, "No place like home!"

In Sunshine and Rain (c) 2002 Quentin Clingerman
