Winter Daze

Bright sunshine floods through the window

Gives false hope on a bitterly cold day

Temperatures in single digit to begin the day

Hide under the comforter and forget it is time to get up

No loving wife to cuddle up with on this Valentine's Day

Memory does little to warm me up!

Oh, to be in my place in North Carolina

Cold but not bitter.  Ah, take the cold

Thank God for a warm house and hot beverage

Thank God for the years with a loving wife

Thank God for children, grand children, great grandchildren

That warms the heart

Thank God for the hope of Heaven where there will be no

Winter daze
