First Day of Summer

First Day of Summer

'Tis the first day of summer

The longest day of the year

Been a mild Spring with a fair amount of rain

What will the summer days bring

More of the same or heat?

Thank the Lord for air conditioning

And shelter that can't be beat

Grass and trees are green, flowers bloom

Corn has begun to grow

Swimming pool is open

Adults with kids in tow

Quiet days sitting on the porch watching the world go by

Looking to Jesus, living for Him, as I wait to die

At my age not a negative thought

For in Christ my home in Heaven is bought

My home in Heaven is bought!
