9/11 Revisited

Whose to blame
It's the political game
In the nation this year
9/11, 2001, a day of national fear
Turning to political ploy
And greed some survivors' toy

We're all to blame
It's a national shame
Too open, this society
Taking our freedom with less than sobriety
Letting most come and go as they please
Long search lines at airports is but a sneeze

The Patriot Act, though affecting very few
To some a terrible incursion that is threateningly new
Yet, the 9/11 Commission projects a strong belief
We need a new bureau of Counter Terrorism relief

The formation of a "new Gestapo"??
