The Sideling Hill Cut

Water trickles over rock

Layers of history

Verdant Mountains(c) 2009 Quentin Clingerman

Note:  Near Hancock, MD there has been a cut made through the mountain for the road which displays the geological ages in bold relief!  At one time the minerals were bright in color.  The years have caused fading but it is still quite a sight to behold!
