Tired? Tried? Triumphant!

Tired?  Weariness of the ages pressing in

Feel the weight of aging body, of mankind's sin?

Draw near to Jesus, He has told us to

Receive strength to fight, to walk, to  run anew

Tried? Temptations so strong, weakness so clear

Feel the weight of  humaness so close, so near?

Draw near to Jesus, run to His side

He is the cleft of the rock, in Him abide

Triumphant!  Boldly proclaiming Christ's love

All strength, perseverance, joy come from above!

There is nothing in this life Jesus has left untouched

Except for sin, He is blameless of such,

Draw near  in praise to the One who sustains

Knowing with you He in faithfulness remains

Thus triumphant in Him, all glory is His

Thus triumphant in Him, all glory is His!

Tired? Tried? Triumphant! (c)2006  Quentin Clingerman
