Too Easily Derails

Freedom from sin is what it's really all about
Human freedom of the unregenerated kind
(This is something I want to loudly shout)
Leads too often to depraved acts from an evil mind

It has always been so since Adam and Eve's sin
Whatever your view of the Genesis account
Life from self-interest and desire is a no win
Prettying it up by glitter and glitz of any amount

Freedom from sin is God's goal for humankind
The Cross, giving up His glory, Christ's cost
Supreme sacrifice, this price, for us to remind
That no one, but no one, need be eternally lost

In response, each human must, to such selfless love
Give up his right to freedom to do as he pleases
Living instead in freedom that comes from above
With that real joy and pleasure increases

Freedom from sin and all that entails
But humankind too easy derails
Humankind too easily derails
