Whithering on the Vine Whithering on the vine Waiting for the bugs to dine Chilly for the lack of sunshine Watching the calendula brightly bloom Knowing it is surely this pumpkin's doom If not the frost, its pestilence gloom Hanging and rotting, come what may Autumn has not the time of day For the likes of me Whithering on the vine

About the Poet
I am a retired educator. Now 85 years of age. I live in Maryland. I am the father of three ladies and thirteen grandchildren. Four grandchildren now married. I have two great grandsons, Koi Jon and Quinn Manu and a great granddaughter,Sephira Jade.
Poems are an expression of how I think and feel. Variety in either case!
