Bells and Whistles

Bells and Whistles

Seek not the bells and whistles,
it's no stroll thru the park...
our Christian walk is often
tip toeing in the dark!

Our journey's based on faith
not feelings or by sight...
God's word is the lantern
to get us thru the night!

Our commitment is more
than a tingling sensation,
it's following Christ Jesus
down a path of separation.

Seek not thrills and glitter
and goosebumps down your spine,
but an intimate relationship
with Jesus Christ divine!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
