God's Hand

The Lord bestows blessings
on ordinary days at
the precise moment
in manifold ways.
Thru the words of a song,
or kindness of a stranger,
sometimes it's a detour
to keep me out of danger.

It could be a phone call
or letter in the mail,
or a solution to a problem
down to the last detail.
God's unexpected favors
are a special treasure,
and since I am His child,
it also gives Him pleasure.

I've come to recognize
God's blessings from above,
the gifts and demonstrations
that express His purest love.
You too can see God's hand
in each simple circumstance,
and remember every time
blessings never come by chance!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
