Good Times or Bad


It's easy to pray when money is flowing,
your wallet is full and bank account growing;
singing is natural when you are glad,
and calm is the heart that seldom is sad!
but when money is scarce and bills overdue,
the roof starts to leak and you get the flu,
the car doesn't start to your great dismay,
it is much harder to sit still and pray!

But, prayer is essential despite situations,
in good times or bad God deserves exaltation!
He is still God, hears your petitions,
knows your affairs and adverse conditions.
Rest in His promise to take care of you,
He's your provision and knows what to do!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
