The Dream

There's a story of a woman
who worried through the years,
and grew old and weary
caused by all her fears.
she just didn't realize
the severity of her condition,
though what she feared most
never came to fruition!

Wasted were the hours
spent in stress and strife
when she could have trusted
God for a peaceful life!
He revealed in a dream
that worry would destroy
any faith and hope in Him
and would rob her of joy!

In her dream she witnessed
others bearing heavy weights,
but needless were the burdens
she learned satan instigates.
when she awoke that morn
a changed woman was she,
filled with renewed faith,
hope, and worry free!

Note:  My husband & I were reading a devotional from "Streams in the Desert", & they mentioned a story of such a woman who learned a lesson about worrying, through a dream the Lord sent, that she would never forget! After that she was the happiest, worry free member of her family!
