The journey is treacherous,
dangers lurk around each bend;
like a tightrope o'er a raging river,
the turmoil never ends...

The obstacles are numerous,
from all sides arrows fly...
some travelers begin to doubt
while others just comply.

Those who choose to proceed
down the rugged trail,
are the ones undaunted
knowing they'll prevail.

Over dangerous terrain
and across slippery slopes,
these peculiar people
press on with faith and hope.

Tho pursued and tormented
by relentless adversaries,
they endure many hardships
and shout the victory!

Through enemy territory
they're not defeated,
but are determined to win
til their mission's completed.

Submitted followers of Jesus
for His purpose they live,
denying themselves daily,
and all to Him give!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
