What a Pleasant Day!

What a pleasant day!

Who can trace the path of the breeze
that bends around trees and around hills
I thought for long it was a weak willed wind
that blew in a straight line from the ocean
to my window
 That when strong would brood
a rude storm and fell the trees it had swirled around
and shred the green garments
it had once worn
 Outside
it is feather light and whispering its way
across the grass and the petals of a butterfly
A friendly smile from the blue above
will let fluff clouds rest awhile
What a pleasant day! they say
when raging storms
disguise themselves as baby breezes.
What a pleasant day!
