Morning Walk....Again

Morning walk....Again

Again I walk my winding way
Again I watch the swing
Of night in flirt with break of day
Of first fleets taking wing

Again I step from kerb to street
From street to kerb to street
Avoiding all my shoes detest
That stray dogs find so sweet

There's salt upon the piscine air
The ocean melts to grey
Vain waves are jostled from their beds
They retch in slumbrous spray

Again I stand upon the shore
Wind whispers flick my eyes
A speck or orange braves the grey
It grows into a rise

The sun has come! The sun has come!
The sun has brought a day!
As one more glorious morn is born
I walk my winding way
