My Resolve
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

My Resolve

I will not
seek her gravesite,
And I will not
dress her stone;
I know her spirit
is not there,
That grave
holds flesh and bone.

I will not
concentrate on grief,
My hope in God
is greater;
For those of His
don't say "Goodbye,"
they just say,
"See ya later."

I will not
focus on her death,
Her body
six feet under;
For she is more
alive today,
And filled with
Heaven's wonder.

Two years
her laughter
has been filling
Heaven's land
with cheer ~
And I *will*
picture her this way
Until I hold her near.

"Jesus said...
I am the resurrection,
and the life:
he that believeth in Me,
though he were dead,
yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth
and believeth in Me
shall never die.
Believest thou this?"

(John 11:25-26, KJV)

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
